The organization SABAH helped us to select five women in Nepal, who are now being trained as carpenters as part of the cooperation between Roots for Life and our local partner Kar.ma Coffee. For the training of the female carpenters, we rented seats in a joint workshop, but also a small house for our special machines, a seminar room and a container, which will serve as a warehouse for finished articles. The house for machines is currently being isolated and prepared for use. The infrastructure is located on the site of Nepal Communitere, where events take place frequently. Through these events our project enjoys some publicity and further synergies can arise. From now on, women ar being trained to make products such as stackable stools or jars for lip balm in our carpentry workshop. In the future they will be able to generate their own income and thus lead an independent self-determined life.
