Child Labour

Despite the fact that child labour is legally prohibited in Nepal for children aged under 14, according to studies 34% of the 5-14-year-old Nepali children work. Children are made to work in the farms, cowsheds, brick kilns, carpet and textile factories, night clubs and construction sites. Some of them are even forced into porn and child prostitution. The work deprives children of their childhood, education, their potential and their dignity. It is often harmful to their physical and mental development.
