Women implement knowledge themselves

Lila Kadhka, has three sons and participated in the training on organic vegetable farming last year. Before that she only grew potatoes because she lacked knowledge about other plant species. But thanks to her own seeds and a film tunnel (inspired by the large greenhouse of the training farm)  on her field there now grows a colorful variety of vegetables.

In addition, she has come up with something special: around the field to her house, she stretched a long string. In the end, a bell hangs. If a hungry bear comes at night and wants to steal vegetables, she wakes up from the bell and can scare him away. Simple but effective!

Thanks to her own initiative and ingenuity, she was able to earn an additional 10,000 NPRs last year – her first own money.
