…were officially opened! It was an incredible celebration, with over 100 guests from several villages, many speeches, a dance competition of four schools and a competition for the most beautiful vegetables – an idea of Carola Gosch and Namaraj Silwal, which was well received and should become tradition. The government representative of Solukhumbu – Namgyal Jangbu Sherpa and of Kerung – Katwal Pasang Kerung Kerung were thrilled and donated the prize for the competition for the most beautiful vegetable. The celebration was an opportunity for the women’s cooperative to present its training farm and activities. The women’s cooperative Sagarmatha Milijuli Mahila Sahakaari and Roots for Life thank all the sponsors who accompanied us on the long and sometimes difficult way. Especially Soroptimist International Switzerland and Ass Soroptimist Int Union Francaise, who contributed a big part to the construction of the Farmhouse and Networker for Humanity for their contribution to the construction of the Traininghall.
