The small jobs, as porters for example, are simply no longer there, the whole city is more or less at a standstill. Since they could not buy food for themselves and their children, Kusang Tamang helped out with a sack of rice and visited the family at home. The children all went to school until the lockdown, but especially for the girls there is now a great danger that they will not be able to do so in the future. The parents are aware of the importance of school education and they were very happy about the offer of Roots for Life to support the girls as scholarship holders.
